I utstillingen Amongst friends viser den Trondheimsbaserte kunstneren Tuda Muda en sammenstilling av arbeider som reflekterer over øyeblikk opplevd «blant venner», både bokstavelig og metaforisk. Verkene er tegnet og malt i løpet av de siste fem årene og forteller bittersøte historier om tilhørighet og isolasjon.
Om utstillingens tema og tittel forteller hun:
“Jeg er fascinert av mellommenneskelige forhold og nettet av følelser som følger med dem. Jeg er fascinert av påvirkningene som former vår oppfatning av oss selv og andre, samt de usynlige trådene som forbinder oss alle.“

KUNSTNER BIO:
Tuda Muda / Samrridhi Kukreja (f. 1991, Delhi, India) bor og arbeider i Trondheim. Hun arbeider hovedsakelig med tegning, video og installasjon. Hun har en BFA i grafikk fra College of Fine Arts, Delhi University, og en MA i kunst fra Kunstakademiet, Trondheim, NTNU, Norge.
Tuda Muda er en av seks kunstnere som skal skape en kunstpris for Ski-VM i Trondheim 2025. Hun arbeider nå også mot tre separatutstillinger i 2025; Kunstnernes Hus, Heimdal Kunstforening og Nils Aas Kunstverksted, samt en gruppeutstilling ved Kjøpmannsgata Ung Kunst. Tuda Muda har tillegg fått sitt første oppdrag med kunst i offentlig rom for Trøndelag Fylkeskommune og Cissi Klein VGS, Trondheim.
Tuda Muda er representert av galleri Standard (Oslo), og av nylige utstillinger er “Bella, in & out,” Galleria Massimo Ligreggi, Sicily, Italia; “Bella,” Standard (Oslo), Oslo, Norge (2024); “Composition for the Left Hand: Verk fra Erling Kagges Samling,” KODE, Bergen, Norge (2024); “Tongues of Fire,” Kunsthall Trondheim, Trondheim, Norge (2024); “Embrace/Compassion,” Emanuele Catellani Contemporary, Chieri, Italia (2024); “Item Number,” Rajiv Menon Contemporary, Los Angeles, USA (2023); “Carroll Dunham: Where Am I? Hun er innkjøpt i offentlige samlinger som Nasjonalmuseet i Oslo, Eivind Aadlands samling, Erling Kagges samling, Cissi Klein VGS og Trondheim Katedralskole.

For the exhibition Amongst friends, the Trondheim-based artist Tuda Muda, will present a collection of work reflecting on moments experienced “amongst friends,” both literally and metaphorically. These works, drawn and painted over the last five years, tell bittersweet stories of belonging and isolation.
On the subject of the exhibition she says:
“I am intrigued by interpersonal relationships and the web of emotions that accompany them. I am fascinated by the influences that shape our perception of ourselves and others, as well as the invisible threads that connect us all.“
ARTIST BIO
Tuda Muda (Samrridhi Kukreja, b. 1991, Delhi, India) lives and works in Trondheim, Norway. She primarily works with drawing, video, and installation. She received her BFA in Printmaking from the College of Fine Arts at Delhi University, where she received multiple awards for Academic Excellence, and her MA in Fine Art from Kunstakademiet I Trondheim, NTNU Norway.
Tuda Muda is one of the six artists creating the art prize for Ski-VM Trondheim 2025 (Nordic World Ski Championship). She is preparing for her upcoming solo show at Kunstnernes Hus, Heimdal Kunstforening, Nils Aas Kunstverksted, and a group show at Kjøpmannsgata Ung Kunst in 2025. Additionally, she is working on her first public commission for Trøndelag Fylkeskommune for Cissi Klein VGS Upper Secondary School.
